Rockland Street Bridge Closed Monday

The Rockland Street Bridge will be closed Monday, Feb. 3, for most of the day due to natural gas work at the site.

According to the Wellesley Police, the bridge will be closed in both directions from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Police ask drivers to seek alternate routes, using Kingsbury Street Bridge or Route 9 East to Route 16 to access Washington Street while Rockland is closed. Wellesley Police officers will be directing traffic during the closure.

The bridge is only expected to be closed on both sides Monday. However, one lane will be closed daily, from Washington Street across the bridge to Linden/Rockland Street, for the rest of the week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
