One Airlifted to Hospital After Wellesley Ave Crash
Wellesley Avenue reopened as of about 7:30 after a two-car crash which required one person be airlifted from the scene.
A two-car crash at about 5 a.m. sent one 20-year-old woman to hospital by helicopter.
At about 3 a.m., a Mercedes carrying seven and a Honda driven by one were involved in a head-on collision. According to a WBZ report, the Mercedes crossed a double-yellow line and hit the Honda, however police have not yet released a cause of the accident.

Police did tell WBZ that they do not believe alcohol was involved in the crash.
Four people in total were injured, one was taken by Medflight from the Fiske school with serious injuries--three others taken by ambulance. WBZ reports that the person in the helicopter was a Babson College student.

Wellesley Police issued an alert at about 5:15 a.m. indicating that Wellesley Avenue between Hunnewell Street and Brookside Avenue were closed to traffic while accident reconstruction teams examined the scene. They issued a follow-up alert at about 7:30 a.m. indicating the roads had re-opened.
