MIT Student Sent to Hospital After Midnight Fall at Wellesley College

An MIT student's midnight plunge this weekend sends him to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

 

An MIT student's fall of about 14 feet inside a Wellesley College student center building resulted in a midnight trip to the hospital.

The student was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; his condition is not known at this time.

Sgt. William Bowman of Wellesley College Police said the plunge took place about midnight Saturday inside the Lulu Wang Student Center; he said there was no event taking place place when the fall happened.

Bowman said the student fell from the third-floor level to the second-floor level inside the new and quite contemporary Wang building. That would be about the equivalent of falling from a second-story level.
