MassBay Student Arrested with Loaded Handgun

Wellesley Police arrested a student with a loaded handgun yesterday morning.

Darryl Max Dookhran, 18, of Dorchester, was arrested yesterday when police found a loaded semi-automatic handgun in his bag upon investigation. Dookhran was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of a large capacity Firearm, among others, according to a Wellesley Police statement. 

Wellesley Police began an investigation when last week a citizen told an officer he or she had seen Dookhran with a gun, according to the statement.

Dookhran was arraigned this morning in Dedham District Court.
