MassBay Community College to Open Wednesday Following Bomb Threat

Classes at MassBay Community College will go on as scheduled Wednesday as police gave the all clear to both the Wellesley and Framingham campuses after receiving a bomb threat.

According to a press release from Jeremy Solomon, associate vice president for marketing and college spokesman, a MassBay security officer found a written bomb threat in a men’s bathroom on the Wellesley Hills campus early this morning. Wellesley Police Department came to campus and investigated, finding no threat, and gave an all clear.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. today another written bomb threat was found on the Framingham campus. As a precaution, all three campuses were evacuated, and day and evening classes and activities were cancelled.

"Emergency responders came to the Wellesley Hills and Framingham campuses and conducted a search," Solomon said. "In both instances no threats were found, and an all clear was given by the respective local authorities."

"We want to thank you for your patience and cooperation," Solomon said.
