Police evacuated Mass Bay Community College campuses in Wellesley, Framingham and Ashland Tuesday afternoon due to a bomb threat.

Framingham Deputy Police Chief Ron Brandolini said a note was left in the bathroom about a bomb on campus just after 3 p.m. A note was also reported to be left somewhere on the Wellesley campus.

In a statement issued by Framingham police just after 4 p.m., police said there was a "note stating a bomb was in school and going to blow up."

The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad was on scene in all locations.

Jeremy Solomon, associate vice president for marketing and college spokesman, told Wellesley Patch they are investigating these threats and there are emergency responders on all Mass Bay campuses. Threats were made but not to any specific campus, he said. He added that school and public safety officials are doing all they can to ensure the campus is safe.

"There were threats made that we took very seriously, but they were not made to any specific campus, "Solomon said. "There is no reason to think that there will be any further threats. There are no injuries and we don't predict any injuries."

A press conference is expected to be held at 5 p.m. on the Framingham campus.

MassBay is closed for the rest of the day and evening. All classes and activities are cancelled at all three campuses.
