Man Arrested After Lying About Name to Officer

The following reports were provided by the Wellesley Police Department. Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

On Saturday, Aug. 3, Officer Kevin Brooks was conducting traffic enforcement at the Wellesley Fire Department headquarters on Route 9 when he witnessed a vehicle drive by without a front license plate.

Brooks checked the number from the rear license plate and determined that the registration had been revoked due to a lack of insurance.

After stopping the vehicle Brooks spoke to the driver who handed over the registration of the vehicle but said he did not have his license on him.
