Crystal Meth Found in Wellesley

Last week, a resident turned in a small bag full of crystal meth, according to Wellesley Police Lt. Marie Cleary.

A resident walked into the police station to drop off a bag of drugs he said his high school aged student found on the brook path. The student was walking home from school and found the bag between Rice and Seaver Street, Cleary said.

"The student showed the item to his father when he got home from school and his father immediately turned it into the Wellesley Police Department," Cleary told Patch.

After a preliminary narcotics screening was done, the substance tested positive for methamphetamine, according to Cleary.

"We do not know how long it was on the path or who was the owner of the substance," Cleary said.
