Are You Missing a Lion?

Stone lion mysteriously appears in the back yard of a Wellesley Hills area home, police seek owner.

 

If your stone lion wandered off, the Wellesley Police found one around Wellesley Hills.

Police tweeted a photo of the stone lion yesterday afternoon, saying,

The owner of the home at which the statue was found reportedly had no idea where the lion had come from. It did take several officers to move the stone king of the jungle, which reportedly weighed a couple of hundreds of pounds, WCVB reports.

“She found it out there this morning, perfectly set up on her porch in front of her front door and she figured someone would come by and get it and the lion sat there patiently all day,” Wellesley Police Sgt. Scott Whittemore told WCVB yesterday. “Nobody arrived so she called us."
