Remodeling Your Wellesley Kitchen? 8 Trends to Avoid

Teri Adler,  a broker in our Wellesley real estate office, just bought a home in Wellesley and is looking forward to remodeling the kitchen. She has been -talking to various kitchen designers and doing lots of research to help her find the perfect blend of materials, surfaces and appliances. Recently, she came across this article by Mary Boone, a guest blogger on Zillow, that offers very helpful advice on what trends to avoid so your dream kitchen does not look dated before its time.  As the article states, "Because [kitchens are] such a large investment, most homeowners hope to end up with a finished product that looks fresh as long as possible. What's hot and trendy today may be out of vogue in a year, making your kitchen look outdated before you've had a chance to break it in."

We were not surprised to see trash compactors on the list - how many people do you know who actually use them for the trash? But we were disappointed to see appliance garages - love them!
