Big Boy is a Big Charmer

Big Boy is a gentle giant who loves to play and loves people. He was rescued off the street, where he certainly did not belong. He is loves to play and is an active guy he works up an appetite which makes meal time his second favorite pastime. He will sit next to you and stare lovingly into your eyes until you pet him. Big Boy would do best in a home of his own. Please note that Big Boy has tested positive for FIV.  FIV is NOT a highly contagious disease but it is transmitted through deep bite wounds from cat to cat.

If you are interested in meeting Big Boy or any of the cats at The Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter, visit our website (www.giffordcatshelter.org). While you’re there, you can fill out an online adoption application for Big Boy and learn more about our shelter. You can also call us at 617-787-8872. We are the oldest cageless no-kill cat shelter in the country, and we’re located right here in Brighton!

The mission of Gifford Cat Shelter is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, stray, abused, neglected, unwanted and injured cats with the goal of re-homing and ending the needless killing of community and companion cats. It was the first cageless shelter in the country and has been in existence since 1884.
