Margaret R. (Grennon) Foster, 72, of Weymouth, died Jan. 15, 2014.
She was best friend and former wife of Edward M. Foster of Weymouth. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Grennon.
She grew up in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Blessed Sacrament High School, Class of 1958.
She retired from Deloitte & Touche in 2001 after 25 years of service as the manager of the audit report department. She began her career with them in Wellesley as a typist, and when the company was named Touche, Ross, Bailey and Smart.
Margaret’s goal throughout her life was trying to make people laugh, and she succeeded every time. She loved reading novels, watching films and lunching with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Edward J. Foster and his wife Mary of Weymouth and Jacqueline Donley and her husband D. Thomas of Wasilla, Alaska; her grandchildren, Daniel, Emily and Grace Foster of Weymouth and Alia, Shayla and Konner Donley of Wasilla; her siblings, Michele Sullivan of Jamaica Plain, Maureen Doogan of West Roxbury, Sally Burke of Springfield, Va., Joseph Grennon of Westwood, John Grennon and Edward Grennon of Quincy, Kevin Grennon of West Roxbury and Colin Grennon of Millis; and her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
Burial in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
