Obituary: Anne G. (O’Sullivan) Hogan, Switchboard Operator at Babson College

Anne G. (O'Sullivan) Hogan, 92, of Townsend, formerly of Natick and Beverly Hills, Florida, died Oct. 23, 2013, at her residence.

Her husband, James F. Hogan, died in May 1991.

Mrs. Hogan was born in Boston, Oct. 27, 1920, daughter of Timothy and Mary (Barry) O'Sullivan. She resided many years in Natick and later Beverly Hills, Fla. before moving to Townsend in 2001.

Prior to her retirement in 1975, Mrs. Hogan had been a switchboard operator at Babson College in Wellesley. Previously, she worked for New England Telephone and was a member of its Pioneers Club.

She and her husband had been active in the Knights of Columbus. She was also active in the Our Lady of Grace Church in Beverly Hills, Fla. and was a member of the women's group there. More recently, she attended St. Boniface Church in Lunenburg. She had also attended the Cooperative Elder Services Adult Day Care Program in Groton.

She leaves her two sons, Paul G. Hogan and and his wife Donna of Attleboro Falls and James B. Hogan and his wife Cheryl of Wayland; her two daughters, Anne G. Kobbs and her husband Peter of Townsend and Brenda M. DePersis and her husband Scott of East Sandwich; her brother, Bernard O'Sullivan of Quincy; and her 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late John E. O'Sullivan, Paul T. O'Sullivan, and Mary M. O'Sullivan.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 28 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 School St., Townsend. Burial will be at a later date in Fountain Memorial Park, Homosassa, Fla.
