Fmr. Wellesley Police Officer Patrick Sullivan Dies

Sullivan served the Wellesley Police Department from 1955 to 1986.

Former Officer Patrick J. Sullivan died Friday.

Sullivan, who was 82 years old, succumbed to pancreatic cancer, according to his obituary.

According to the Wellesley Police Department’s website, Sullivan served the department from 1955 to 1986 when he retired, though he worked traffic details and mentored young officers through the mid 1990’s.

Sullivan was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was stationed at Chanute Air Force Base in Chicago, during the Korean Conflict.

Calling hours for Officer Sullivan are on Thursday, May 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the , 56 Washington St. in Wellesley. A funeral will be held at in Wellesley May 4 starting at 11 a.m.
