Dianne Marion (McLeod) Brayton, 77, passed away Nov. 28, 2013 at Avery Manor in Needham.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dianne was adopted and raised by Glenn and Marion McLeod in Wellesley. She graduated from Wellesley High School. She received her LPN license from Wellesley College and went on to work for many nursing homes in the area. She raised her family of four boys in Needham.
She enjoyed spending her summers in Westport in the family's boat house. She spent many days walking the beach and swimming the ocean near Elephant Rock Beach. There were many days spent looking for sea glass, swimming and visiting the local penny candy store with her boys. She loved to play the piano and loved to sing, entertaining the family during the holidays and special occasions.
She is survived by her sons Gary W. (Jean) of Plymouth, G. Scott (Mo), of Seattle, Wash., Alan D. (Milissa) of Bozeman, Mt., and Kevin C. (Anne Marie) of Waterville Valley, N.H.; and her nine grandchildren.
