Wellesley Symphony Orchestra Concert, Sunday March 16th

The Wellesley Symphony Orchestra will be holding an instrument “petting zoo” prior to their family concert Peter and the Wolf on Sunday March 16th on the MassBay Community College Wellesley Hills campus, 50 Oakland Street.  The instrument petting zoo begins at 1:30 pm, giving young music fans a chance to see up close the instruments that make up an orchestra.  The concert will start at 3:00 pm.  This is the perfect event for music lovers and their children alike.

Tickets for adults are $25, tickets for seniors/students are $20, children under the age of 12 are admitted free, and tickets for groups of six or more are $15.  MassBay students, faculty and staff are admitted for free.

Prior to the concert MassBay will be holding a private ceremony in honor of students who have earned scholarships this year.  The MassBay Foundation has provided dozens of students with more than $150,000 in scholarship funds this year.  Funds have been given to students with financial need, academic achievement, and other traditional categories, but the Foundation has established several scholarships that cater to the unique circumstances of the community college student including funds for single parents, individuals returning to school after being in the workforce, and for improving academically while on campus.  For more information about MassBay scholarships, please visit www.massbay.edu/scholarships.
