The Most Affordable Higher Education Option in MetroWest

In a visit to a high school in Syracuse, New York last week, President Obama remarked, “More than ever before, some form of higher education -- two year, four year, technical college -- that’s the path into the middle class.”

In today’s innovative economy people of all ages need a college education to gain the credentials needed to get and retain good jobs.  And yet, the average debt of a college graduate who has taken on loans to pay for college is $26,000.  Millions of graduates owe much more.

“The fact is,” President Obama continued in his speech, “college has never been more necessary, but it’s also never been more expensive.”

At MassBay Community College, we are proud to be the most affordable higher education option in MetroWest.  For more than 50 years, we have been providing the pathway into the middle class the President referenced by providing high quality academic programs that are aligned with the needs of today’s innovative economy.

Students come to MassBay for two years to earn an associate degree, one year for a certificate, or for a few classes – both for-credit and not-for-credit.  They leave with skills and credentials that can be the difference between a new job or a promotion.
