MassBay Celebrates Veterans Day - TOMORROW!

MassBay proudly honors our nation's Veterans with a poignant ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday November 6th at 10:45 am in the cafeteria on our Wellesley Hills campus (50 Oakland Street).  The ceremony will feature remarks from student, faculty and staff Veterans, members of the Wellesley Fire and Police Departments, an honor guard presentation, and a flag raising ceremony.

The event is free and open to the public.  For more information, please contact the MassBay Coordinator of Veterans' Affairs, Marie Hahs at mhahs@massbay.edu or by calling 781-239-2753.

At MassBay, we have been welcoming America’s heroes to campus for more than five decades. We understand the special circumstances being a returning Veteran entail, and we make the experience as rewarding as possible. All MassBay students have access to fully licensed counseling professionals, as well as an on-campus Veterans Affairs and Career Services counselors, as well as a full-time Transfer Coordinator to help transition students to four-year institutions. Our active Veterans Club hosts formal and informal gatherings designed to ensure our more than 130 student Veterans have colleagues to talk to, and the College has an on-campus resource center, “The Bunker,” dedicated solely to our student Veterans.  MassBay also offers the highest Monthly Housing Allowance of any community college in Massachusetts and is approved for use of GI Bill benefits.
