Wellesley Police Chief Terry Cunningham, on behalf of the Wellesley Police Department, is currently accepting donations for the own Toys for Children program.
Every year the Wellesley Police Department collects new, unwrapped toys for children under the age of 13. The toys are then wrapped by Wellesley Police Officers and distributed to those less fortunate children and struggling families in town.
"This makes the holidays a little brighter for those in need," Wellesley Police Department said in a press release. "The department has run this program for the last few years thanks to the generous support of the community."Donations can be made at Wellesley Police Headquarters, 485 Washington St., Wellesley. Arrangements for pickup can also be made by contacting Wellesley Police Officer Evan Rosenberg at ERosenberg@WellesleyMa.Gov during the day, or Officer Timothy Barros at TBarros@WellesleyMa.Gov at night. Both officers can also be reached by contacting the Wellesley Police Department at 781-235-1212
