Wellesley Public Schools 2014-15 School Calendar Community Forum

Wellesley Public Schools has begun the process of developing a proposed calendar for school year 2014-2015.  Based on our late June, end-of-school date last year (6/26) and the potential for a similar date this year, we are interested in soliciting community input into options that would result in an earlier June release date for next year.  At the same time, we recognize that any changes to the calendar must be assessed in terms of their potential impact on families and staff.  With this in mind, we are hosting two community forums this week on Thursday, September 19th.  The first forum will be from 9:00AM—10:00AM in the Juliani Room at Town Hall.  (Please note that parking at Town Hall is very limited and that additional parking is available in the public lot across the street next to the library.)   A second forum will be held that evening from 7:00PM—8:00PM in the Faculty Dining Room at Wellesley High School.  If you cannot attend one of these forums, please feel free to forward your thoughts to superintendent@wellesley.k12.ma.us.  Thanks in advance for your help!
