Wellesley Community Center Serves It Up With "Cooks In Town"

The Wellesley Community Center Serves It Up with ‘Cooks

in Town’

Today, August 28, 2013, the Community Center kicks off its

pilot of ‘Cooks in Town’, a monthly cooking show to be taped at the

commercial kitchen housed inside the facility at 219 Washington Street.  The show was the brainchild of Katie Chapman,

an area store manager for Comella’s Restaurants of Wellesley.  Katie, who grew up here in Lower Falls

approached Stephen Beach, the Executive Director of the Center about the

idea.  She supervised the food concession

at Wheels of Wellesley last May 18, during the Wonderful World of Wellesley

Weekend, sponsored by Whole Foods. “Katie’s industry expertise turned out to be

a real asset for The Community Center, as she will host a series of guests with

interesting stories to tell and dishes to go with it.” said Beach.   It is a closed set, for the show, but if you

like culinary pursuits and would like to know more about how to be part of the

program series, contact the Wellesley Community Center at info@welleselycommunitycenter.org

or call the general office at

781-235-4172.
