What is Body Music, you ask? It is music made by the oldest instrument on the planet - the human body! Artists from Brazil, Bali, Spain, and the U.S. offer a week of exciting events, including Sunday’s one-hour FAMILY SHOW. Presented by the Wellesley College Concert Series, these artists come straight from the 6th Annual International Body Music Festival in San Francisco, for the first time in New England for this week of FREE events, including this interactive concert geared for all generations.
Artistic Director Keith Terry, pioneer of contemporary Body Music, takes you on a journey that only the world's oldest instrument, the body, can reach. Featuring members of Barbatuques (Brazil), Cudamani (Bali), Corposonic (Oakland, CA), A Mano Limpia (Canary Islands, Spain), and Danny "Slapjazz" Barber (San Diego, CA).
The week includes two evening concerts, workshops, receptions, Q/A sessions and more! Details for ALL Body Music week events: http://www.wellesley.edu/music/concertseries/body_music/node/37091
