The Wellesley Club September Meeting

The Wellesley Club will have its first meeting of the Club’s 2013/2014 year on
Monday, September 30, 2013, at the Harvard Club on Commonwealth Avenue in

Boston. The social hour will begin at 5:30 PM with dinner at 6:30 PM.

The
featured speakers will be Robert Evans, Ed.D. and Mark Kline, Psy.D. from The
Human Relations Service (HRS), Wellesley’s
private, non-profit community mental health agency. They will speak on “Raising
Digital Children.” From social media to video gaming, the Internet and technology
are transforming family life, creating challenges—and opportunities—for
families. How are children handling these tremendously distracting yet vital

resources? How can parents and grandparents best respond? Rob Evans and Mark
Kline will explore these and other dilemmas and offer concrete suggestions for
coping.

Dr. Evans is the Executive Director and Dr. Kline is
the Clinical Director of the HRS. Both have served HRS and worked with town
families and schools for more than 20 years.
