home is a unique
filmic homage to the composer Frederic Chopin—a 1000 mile triathlon from the
composer’s home in Warsaw to his final resting place in Paris—accompanied by a
lush score played in situ at various
locations en route. Mellon New Media Curator/Lecturer Michael Maizels
and Assistant Professor of Music Jenny Olivia Johnson discuss the intersection
of emotion, memory and performance in Guido van der Werve’s work.
