Massachusetts Medical Society President-Elect Dr. Ronald Dunlap will deliver
the keynote address and lead a discussion entitled, “Learning to Live Together:
From the City to the Suburbs." Dr. Dunlap will become the first African American president of the Massachusetts Medical Society upon taking office in May 2013.

The breakfast program will also feature cultural performances by the Charles Street African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church Choir and Wellesley High
School’s Thunder Step Squad.

Sun Life has been a sponsor of WOW since 2003, and
has hosted the annual breakfast for the past three years.

“We’re thrilled to once again hold the Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast
at Sun Life Financial, and we’re honored to have Dr. Ronald Dunlap as our keynote speaker this year,” said World of Wellesley President Dr. Phyllis Gimbel Schnitman. “We’re grateful for the ongoing support of everyone involved
in making this program a continued success, especially our host, Sun Life Financial, and the Interfaith Community for Action in Wellesley, who are so deeply committed to the community."

Dr. Dunlap is a physician with South Shore Cardiology in Weymouth and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He has been a member of ACC’s
committees on Information Technology, Member Services, Public Health, Nominations, Strategic Planning, and Administration and Management and served as president of the Norfolk South District Medical Society from 2006-2008. He has been an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School since 1979 and is a Cardiology Clinical Case Reviewer for Masspro, a performance improvement
organization that advances healthcare quality.

The World of Wellesley was founded in 1990 to support and promote racial and cultural diversity in Wellesley. The organization sponsors a variety of events throughout the year focused on diversity, including a series of programs
co-sponsored by the Wellesley Free Library. WOW also recognizes local businesses and other organizations for actions in support of diversity. World of Wellesley
co-hosts a variety of local programs throughout the year, and in addition to Sun Life, partners with Babson College and Wellesley College.

During its 22 years history, WOW produced/co-produced an average of 20
programs a year on diversity or 600 programs total. Their partnership with the
Wellesley Public School System resulted in an essay program on diversity, in
which over 400 fifth grade students from seven elementary schools participate annually. The mission for recognition, inclusion and acceptance for all people who desire to reside in the Town of Wellesley is a major staple and continues
to be a strong motivator in the WOW efforts.  WOW has been recognized by the Town of Wellesley for its contributions to the community.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. breakfast is jointly sponsored by The World of Wellesley, Sun Life Financial and the Interfaith Community for Action in Wellesley.
