FREE Music Class -- Music Adventures for babies/toddlers

Music Adventures:  Join us for this fun play-based class for mixed ages (baby through toddler) and caregivers.  Through songs/rhymes, games, active music movement, rhythmic work and instrument play, children will explore the world of music-making. Unique parts of the experience include live music performance and real instrument play on high quality xylophones, glockenspiels, drums and shakers.  All participants will receive a packet of materials with ideas for music play in the home.

Jennifer Gaul is the director of the Dana Hall School of Music.  She holds a Master of Music in Piano from the University of Texas at Austin where she studied with music pedagogy expert Martha Hilley as well as Amanda Vick Lethco, co-creator of the phenomenally successful 19-volume educational Palmer series published by Alfred. Jennifer’s interest in early childhood was sparked then and her Master’s thesis was devoted to developing music skills in young children.  Starting in the early 1990’s, Jennifer explored a variety of emerging music programs including becoming certified in Music Together by co-founder Kenneth Guilmartin in Princeton. As the Executive Director of Turtle Bay Music School in mid-town Manhattan, she oversaw a successful Orff-based early childhood music program and Suzuki program.
