Estate Planning 101: Rules for Effective Estate Planning

Estate Planning 101 is an exploration of the basic things that must be done to create an effective estate plan.  It answers the questions:  What is probate?  What is a will?  What is a trust?  How much do they cost? How do I decide which approach is right for me?

The class reviews the seven real-life issues that even the best documents don't address, and offers a strategy to address those problems. Particular focus is placed on the importance of proper titling, the need to train executors, trustees, and other helpers, and the need to update the legal and financial parts of the plan.

The class is highly interactive; questions are welcome.  It is useful for people who have done no planning, as well as for those who want to make sure that their plan will work as intended.  Participants will receive a loose leaf binder containing forms and checklists to begin their planning, or to review an existing plan.
