Business Leaders and Community Philanthropy: An Important Partnership
Tickets are now on sale for the Foundation for MetroWest inaugural Community Leadership Breakfast titled “Business Leaders and Community Philanthropy: An Important
Partnership.”; Dr. Leonard A. Schlesinger, president of Babson College, will address local business leaders on the important connection between businesses and community philanthropy.
Event honorees Maureen and Ted English will be recognized for their long-term commitment to philanthropy in MetroWest. They have demonstrated their devotion to the region by supporting both the Foundation for MetroWest, as well as many local nonprofit organizations. As former CEO of TJX in Framingham and current CEO of Bob’s Discount Furniture, Ted is described as a focused, innovative and compassionate person. Ted currently serves on several nonprofit boards and has received numerous awards for commitment to leadership, education, and youth.
The Community Leadership Breakfast will be chaired by John Heerwagen, Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Middlesex Savings Bank and trustee of the
Foundation.
