Age of Champions Movie

To celebrate the accomplishments of older adults in staying engaged and fit, Longfellow Sports Club will be hosting an exclusive viewing of the award-winning PBS documentary film "Age of Champions" on Tuesday, September 24th at 6:30 pm during Active Aging week September 23-28.    The film tells the story of five competitors up to 100 years old who compete at the National Senior Olympics, and explores characteristics of active aging and its champions- persistence, resilience, positive mental attitude and passion.  The film viewing will be followed by discussion on the film and excelling in your life led by Laury Hammel, President of The Longfellow Clubs and followed by raffle.  Light refreshments will be served at the pre-viewing "mix and mingle".  FREE EVENT, but must register- activeaginglf@gmail.com or 508-653-4633x513.
