Wellesley Voters to Decide on $3.4M Budget Override

Voters will also decide on the purchase of a property at 494 Washington St.

Wellesley citizens on Tuesday were voting in a special election for a $3.4 million budget override.

The ballot has two questions:

  • Question 1 asks whether the purchase of a property at 494 Washington Street should be approved
  • Question 2 asks for a $3,345,000 tax override for municipal government and schools
The polls were open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the following locations:
  • Precinct A: Bates School, 116 Elmwood Rd.
  • Precinct B: Sprague School, 401 School St.
  • Precinct C: Upham School, 35 Wynnewood Rd.
  • Precinct D: Schofield School, 27 Cedar St.
  • Precinct E: Fiske School, 45 Hastings St.
  • Precinct F: Dana Hall School Shipley Center, 142 Grove St.
  • Precinct G: Wellesley Free Library, 530 Washington St.
  • Precinct H: Wellesley High School, 50 Rice St.
