Wellesley Police Log: Hangup Call and Broken Furniture

The following reports were provided by the Wellesley Police Department from Dec. 28 - 31. Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction. 

Hangup Call and Broken Furniture

Dec. 30, a little after 9:15 p.m., police dispatch received a hangup call from an address on Belair Road, and sent Officer Joseph to investigate. Around the back of the home, police found a door unsecured, and broken furniture in the kitchen area of the apartment. They found a man who told police that he had made the call, and that he was having an argument with his girlfriend who would not let him leave the house.

They found a woman in the apartment, who also said they had a verbal argument, which got physical when he threw her to the ground. The couple went into the kitchen, where he threw her to the ground a second time. He also broke some of the kitchen furniture. 

Police arrested and charged Mario Zocchi, 37, an Alexandria, Virginia native with domestic assault-and-battery and damaging property. He was released on personal recognizance.
