Wellesley Hills Post Office Staked out by LaRouche PAC

Volunteers for the LaRouche Political Action Committee urged voters outside the Wellesley Hills Post Office to support a return to financial regulations imposed by the Glass-Steagall Banking Act of 1933.

The act, which separates financial and commercial banking, was repealed in 1999. Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and John McCain (R-AZ) have sponsored an amendment to finance reform legislation that would restore the 1933 separation.

One of the two volunteers, who declined to give their names, held up a sign reading, "Pull Over to Stop Obama". Another passed out flyers.

"You guys are so brave," said one woman as she paused before entering the Post Office to speak with one of the volunteers.

One of the posters hanging from the side of the table they'd set up pointing away from the street featured a picture of President Barack Obama wearing a short moustache similar to the one worn by Adolph Hitler. The poster bears the same image as the logo for the LaRouche PAC's "Obama-Watch" campaign, which argues to impeach the president.
