Wellesley College: Recession Is Bad for Health of Older Workers

New research suggests the down economy is especially bad for people over 55 in terms of health.

New research out of Wellesley College suggests this recession can be bad for your health if you’re over 55.

People in this age group run greater long-term health risks linked directly to the recession, according to Kaiser Health News, who published research led by Wellesley College economist Phillip B. Levine today.

“Being unfortunate enough to experience a recession as an older worker has significant lifelong effects for one’s health,” Levine said in the KHN story.
