This Week's Picks Include Music, Dance, Laughter and Charity

Spend the week at a museum, watching contemporary dance, laugh a little, watch a move and help a local charity

Glad you clicked on the Grab and Go Planner! This week's options include visiting museum with your baby, watching a unique contemporary dance performance, attending a family-friendly music show, watch a movie and cooking in the kitchen for a local charity.

Where/When: Danforth Museum of Art, 123 Union Ave., Framingham, Thursday, February 17, 10-11 a.m.

Why go: Here is one museum, at least for today, that it does not matter if your baby cries or the perfect little angel. While the galleries are closed to the public, parents can enjoy conversation with other parents, learn about the art, sing songs and visit the Goodnight Moon room. For children 0 to 12 months.

Where/When: Houghton Memorial Chapel, Wellesley College, 106 Central St, Wellesley, Sunday, February 20, 7-9 p.m.

Why go: Children who enjoy martial arts, contemporary dance, singing or drama will enjoy this unique production by the Navarasa Dance Theater.  If you have siblings who possess very diverse interest in the arts, this may finally be event the entire family can relate to and enjoy.

Why go: David Polansky's free family concert is truly an entire family event! Polansky's show is humorous, sometimes serious and always engaging and fun! Preschoolers to grandparents will find him equally entertaining and will share this common memory for years to come.

Why go: The Toy Story movie series is a film the whole family can enjoy. Working parents may want to take the afternoon off and feel like a kid again by watching an afternoon movie while spending some quality time with the entire family.

Where/When: , 79 Denton Rd, Wellesley, Tuesday, February 22,  

Why go: This activity can be done at home, but it's a great opportunity to get the family in the kitchen cooking together and joining forces for a worthy cause, the Miracle Kitchen in Framingham. Simple recipes can be provided, or try some family favorites. Any member over nine years old can further participate by serving their meals (or desserts) at the kitchen themselves. In that way, the family outreach mission runs full circle!
