St. James Parishioners Plan to Pursue Another Appeal

Though the Vatican has denied an appeal of Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley’s decision to relegate several closed area churches for non-religious use, parishioners are not ready to give up the fight.

Suzanne Hurley, spokeswoman for vigilers at St. James The Great, told Boston.com yesterday that the St. James parishioner group intends to file another appeal.

“The vigil is ongoing, and we are planning to pursue an appeal,” she said to Boston.com. St. James' parishioner group will be one of five area church vigil groups seeking fruther appeal, according to the story.

, located at 900 Worcester St., for about $3.8 million April 2. The sale, however, will not be final until the appeals process is exhausted, according to archdiocese spokesman Terrence C. Donilon in Boston.com. Wellesley will seek Special Town Meeting approval to buy the property June 13.

Last night, according to Twitter and other reports, the School Committee was the latest town faction to sign off on the potential sale of the church property.

IF you believe you are doing the right thing for all Catholics it is worth the fight in the name of Jesus Christ including the first amendment don,t give up!

Faith without action is dead Faith. Promoting the Word of God is necessary. Continue with your Faith coupled with action in a kind manner and you will continue spreading the Word of God. If you doubt, you do not trust in the Truth.
