Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect in Anticipation of 'Dangerous Storm'

The National Weather Service is warning of a potentially dangerous storm coming through the area this afternoon.

Keep an eye on the skies and be prepared to move inside should the weather turn ugly. 

The National Weather Service (NWS) has put out a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Middlesex, Worcester and Norfolk counties in Massachusetts that is in effect until 3:30 p.m. this afternoon. 

The says the storm could strike the southern part of Wellesley.

According to NWS, the storm could pose a threat to people caught outside.

"This is a dangerous storm," the warning states. "If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail and deadly cloud-to-ground lighting. People outside should move to a shelter, preferably inside a strong building but away from windows."
