Employee to Run Half Marathon on Treadmill Tomorrow at Linden Store

The runner, Natalia Escallon, is running to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club.

Though the Boston Marathon is still about a month away, and marathon fever is heading to Wellesley early.

Three-time marathon runner Natalia Escallon will run a half marathon on a treadmill outside of tomorrow to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Boston South Boston Marathon Team.

Escallon, who works at Linden, said in a press statement he runs to “unite two things that I love: helping kids and running. The South Boston Club is a life-saver for a lot of inner city kids around the Southie community.”

The Boston Athletic Association has given the Boston Boys & Girls Club seven entry numbers. Runners are required to earn $5,000 per number. Escallon hopes to raise this money tomorrow.

The event begins at 11 a.m.
