2.    …Which is observed by some states and not observed by others. In Massachusetts, Columbus Day is a holiday, which means state services are inactive. Though businesses will mostly remain open.

3.    The Board of Selectmen will not meet this week. The board will meet on Oct. 17, however, and there will be several items on the meeting’s agenda.
