5 Things You Need to Know: Dec. 21

Possibly the last Five Things (but probably not).

1. Showers at 100 percent chance today, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures should peak at 51ºF and dip to 33ºF in the evening. Overnight, the National Weather Service says that there is some snow likely, about a 60 percent chance after midnight.
Although, tomorrow there may not be any weather, if the world ends today. Then again: Will the World End on Dec. 21? Officials Say No.

2. At 9:30 a.m. today, Patch sites everywhere will go dark to remember Sandy Hook. It is an Internet Moment of Silence. 

3. The Needham Community CouncilThrift Shop is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by to find deals on men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, small household items and even a few pieces of furniture. Customers should use the entrance to the left side of the building.

4. Get yourself an evening off, and bring the kids to Dedham Health & Athletic Complex for Kids Night! They have a rotating calendar of activities, and they're accepting kids from 5 to 12 from 5 p.m. on tonight. $30 is the cost.

5. Kids aged 3 to 10 can get some more speed and agility from their soccer game from the Atletico Soccer Academy Indoor Soccer Training, which happens to be at Boston Sports Clubs tonight at 6 p.m. The hour-long classes have pricing depending on ages, and options for private lessons
