It's Winter Book Sale Time at The Wellesley Free Library!

A few reasons you don't want to miss the sale!

The Wellesley Friends Winter Book Sale will begin Thursday, February 7th at  5pm, first for members of the Friends, and then for the general public.  These sales are a great opportunity to support the Wellesley Library, and obtain books, DVDs and other materials.  Throughout the year, volunteers collect books and sort them for the sale. The FOL sale is well-known for its wonderful selection of books, including rare and hard-to find items, as well as a broad selection of titles from every genre.

During Members Night, there is often a line, so it is a good idea to get a number for entry at 3PM. You can become a member here: http://friendsofwellesleyfreelibraries.org/

The sales are well-attended, which can be attributed to the marvelous donations from patrons. Donations are sorted by volunteers according to vintage, fiction, non-fiction and other categories. High value books are priced and and placed on a "specials cart" with prices averaging from $10-$30. Current releases are priced at $5 each. Signed books generally sell for $10.

There is also a silent auction on members night, with a special selection of books that have been set aside. The sales are always fun, and everybody, including collectors, dealers and readers of all ages can find great buys and support a wonderful institution!
