5 Great Ski Destinations within Driving Distance of Wellesley

Don’t let all this snow get you down. Instead, take advantage of it and get out of town for a quick ski trip. One of the biggest benefits people in the Wellesley real estate market get is the area’s prime location.

In the beautiful city of Westford, Nashoba Valley is the perfect destination for both skilled and beginner skiers. When you visit this resort, you’ll benefit from a rental shop, ski shop, tubing park, restaurant and even individual and group lessons. In fact Nashoba Valley is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year!

Ski Bradford

Ski Bradford is ideal for both skiers and snowboarders. It is located in the city of Bradford and boasts racing events, a terrain park, lessons and group trips. The resort also provides a rental shop that is complete with all the equipment you’ll need to enjoy a weekend on the slopes.

Blue Hills

If you’re looking for a destination that has something for everyone in the family, Blue Hills ski resort in Canton is your answer. There are beautiful trails here to explore, a terrain park, an exciting snow sports center, a munchkin area for the kids, lessons and even a museum.

Pats Peak

Henniker, New Hampshire is home to the gorgeous Pats Peak, which is also an excellent choice for a fun ski trip. This resort is the largest night skiing facility in the state, so be sure to check it out during the evening. There are also 26 trails, eight glades and three terrain parks here.

You’ll also benefit from childcare programs, rental and ski shops, snowtubing and lessons at this family-friendly resort. Pats Peak offers a cafeteria, a sandwich shop and the Sled Pub, all of which have menus full of delicious dishes.

Wachusett Mountain

Wachusett Mountain, in Princeton, is one of the best ski destinations in the area. It is situated on the highest mountain in Massachusetts east of the Connecticut River, and is absolutely breath taking. At the resort you’ll enjoy children’s programs, lessons, racing and even a demonstration center. There are seven food locations and a hotel here, so it’s the perfect place for a weekend away.
