LX Dance Teams Take Top Awards

LX Dance Teams Take Top Awards at Showstoppers Competition in Portsmouth, NH 

WELLESLEY, MA – April 2, 2014 – The dance competition season is well underway, with LX Dance Teams winning top awards at the Showstoppers competition, held at Exeter High School and Portsmouth High School, Portsmouth, NH during the weekend of March 7-9, 2014. Proud team members came from the Massachusetts towns of Newton, Wellesley, Needham and West Roxbury.

LX Dance Director Heather Emley always motivates her students to aspire to earn the highest achievements available at competition. “All of the LX Dance Teams did a fantastic job and all of their hard work and dedication truly paid off.” LINX’s philosophy, which has always been a major success factor, is to teach to the group and create a supportive community centered on good sportsmanship, honesty, trust, hard work, kindness, respect and spirit.

With a total of 45 awards, the LX Dance Teams were exceptional at the Showstoppers competition. 5 routines performed by LX Dance Company members were awarded Double Platinum medals (the highest possible award) and 2 of these routines placed 1st in their respective categories and 1st Overall in their divisions (Teen Advanced Duet/Trios and Teen Advanced Solos). This success was followed by 15 Platinum medals and 1st place finishes in the following categories: Mini Solos Advanced, Mini Small Group Performance, Mini Small Group Advanced, Junior Solos Performance, Junior Duet/Trios Advanced, Junior Large Group Performance, Junior Super Group Advanced, and Teen Large Group Advanced. In addition, LX Dance Teams took home 25 Gold medals.
