LINX to Hold Auditions for Spring Performance of "Alice in Wonderland"

WELLESLEY, MA - November 25, 2013 - LINX is briefly opening the doors of its invite-only theater programs: Center Stage (Intermediate, grades 3rd - 6th) and Platinum Players (Advanced, grades 4th - 8th).  On Saturday, December 7, 2013, prospective players can audition for LINX's spring production: Alice in Wonderland.  Under the expert direction of Todd Morse, Theater Director at LINX, the auditions will take place in The Black Box Theater, located at LINX's main office, 141 Linden Street, Wellesley, MA, from 10am to 12pm. The new theater session begins in February for this original and inventive adaptation.

"We teach kids to do what Disney and other great production companies do - to take the essence of a classic story and twist it in a new and exciting way," said Morse.  With fifteen years of experience in producing original plays and adaptation, Morse brings out the creativity and confidence in his young performers as they learn new skills and have fun. The scripts are original and appeal to a modern performer's sense of humor and adventure.   "Auditions are stress-free and full-of-fun.  New players even get to audition alongside existing players, which, rather than make them nervous, emboldens the new players and encourages greater risk-taking," said Morse.  Center Stage and Platinum Players will get equal stage time during rehearsals and the performance. "All performers are provided equal parts with their peers.  Equal stage-time during rehearsals and the performance means equal advancement of skills - and what skills our kids show!" said Morse.
