LINX Provides Needed Classes and Hires New Instructors in Response to Isis Parenting's Sudden Closing

WELLESLEY, MA - March 7, 2014 - LINX has stepped up in the community and is offering more of its high quality classes to families in the Wellesley area impacted by the sudden closing of Isis Parenting, a trusted provider of parenting classes and infant/toddler enrichment programs.  Through The Wellesley Tree House, LINX has built a sought after community that supports infants, toddlers, and their parents and caregivers through programs that grow with each child at his/her own pace.  Trusted professional instructors and staff focus on supporting and nurturing each individual child.  Tree House members benefit not only from valuable information, but the socialization and new friendships that are formed through common interests and parents' shared goals for their children.

In response to the closing, LINX, located at 141 Linden Street, Wellesley, MA, is excited to announce that two former Isis Parenting teachers have decided to join the ranks of qualified teachers at LINX's Wellesley Tree House.  These professionals include Nancy Gair, who will be teaching new moms' groups for babies 0 to 12 weeks and 12 to 20 weeks.  The new groups will provide an opportunity for sharing experiences, getting used to being out with the baby, and learning time tested "tricks of the trade" to help settle fussy babies and cope with the challenges of feeding, sleep deprivation, major life change, and more.  Gair, a Yale graduate, was a childbirth educator, taught prenatal and postnatal classes for Isis Parenting, and obtained her CAPPA certification.  Ingrid Dahlin-Doherty will teach toddler art and infant/toddler music and movement classes.  Dahlin-Doherty taught art, music, and child development play classes for five years at Isis Parenting, and her education includes an M.S. in Child Life and Family Studies from Wheelock College.  LINX anticipates a warm and excited welcome of the new professionals as former Isis families find their new home for classes at The Wellesley Tree House.

Families and caregivers suddenly searching for new infant/toddler classes and camaraderie with other parents and caregivers will find the same high quality standards in LINX's infant/toddler enrichment classes and organized playgroups.  Like Isis Parenting, LINX promotes a feeling of community among its members with "Tree House Talk Drop-In," a meeting place for new moms of babies birth to 5 months old to share, ask questions, meet other moms and learn about all things babyhood.  The monthly drop-in gives parents an opportunity to discuss whatever is on their minds, and has a monthly theme to get the conversation started.  LINX leader Jill Vetstein, Certified Infant/Toddler teacher, Infant Massage instructor, and expert in the field, leads the group.  A licensed Social Worker with a concentration in early childhood and parenting, Vetstein brings 12 plus years of experience.  Lisa Gatto, Program Director at LINX and former director of the Child Development Program at Isis Parenting and Child Life Specialist at Boston Children's Hospital, has enthusiastically led activity and discussion groups for young babies, toddlers and their caregivers.

LINX, now in its 7th year of operation, is located at 141 Linden Street, Wellesley, MA.  For more information about the Wellesley Tree House programs or to sign up for classes, visit www.wellesleytreehouse.com or call 781-235-3210.
