Benoit Mizner Simon & Co. Welcomes New Team Members

Wellesley & Weston’s real estate company adds veteran sales agent and real estate developer to its record-setting team

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Amy Mizner, Sheryl Simon and Debi Benoit, principals of Benoit Mizner Simon & Co. (BMS), recently announced the addition of two experienced real estate brokers, bringing their agent count to 65.  The three-and-a-half year old real estate firm, with offices in Wellesley and Weston, has expanded by nearly 40%, and was honored for the second time in 2013 with a "Growth Award" from The Commonwealth Institute and the Boston Business Journal.  The principals also report that revenues were up nearly 40% in 2013, the firm’s largest year over year increase since its inception in fall of 2010.

The two newest hires are longtime real estate developer Stas Burdan, and veteran sales agent Susie Shortsleeve. 

Susie Shortsleeve’s dedication, strong networking and community involvement have been a proven asset to her clients. Susie has been a licensed Realtor since 1987 and prior to joining Benoit Mizner Simon & Co. was a top producer at Century 21 and Coldwell Banker. Susie holds a BS in business management from Sacred Heart University and is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. As an active Weston resident for the last 20 years, Susie served on the Weston Board of Assessors, is a member of the Weston Emergency Reserve Corps and involved in fundraising for Children’s Hospital in Boston. She currently resides in the Boston area and has three children: Cassie, Mike and Keri.

Stas Burdan has been involved in real estate development for over 10 years.  As Developer/Investor/Managing Partner, Stas has developed numerous successful residential properties, both multi- and single-family, in the Greater Boston area. Stas’ extensive experience includes: project identification, zoning analysis, project planning and cost estimation, permitting/entitlement, obtaining acquisition and construction financing, general contracting, construction management for multi-and single-family new construction, adaptive reuse and rehab projects, condominium conversions, property management, accounting, finance, marketing and sales both pre- and post- construction. Stas also possesses over 20 years of IT engineering and consulting experience. In addition to assisting buyers and sellers in their transactions, Stas offers a wide variety of services related to development, construction management, general contracting and real estate investment. In the last 18 years, Stas has lived in Weston, Newton and Cambridge. When not immersed in real estate, his interests include travel, photography and building automation. He is fluent in Russian.
