Wellesley Native Being Sued Over West Coast Newspaper Deal

The lawsuit alleges that the publisher, Aaron Kushner, used another man's credentials without properly compensating him.

In the world of newspapers publishers are changing all the time but just like anything else a deal can go sour, that's what Jack Griffin is saying happened between him and Wellesley native Aaron Kushner.

Griffin, former Time Inc. CEO, alleges in a lawsuit in New York Civil Supreme Court that Kushner used his name as a partner when making a deal to buy Freedom Communications according to the Boston Herald.

The two reportedly began working together in 2011 to purchase the Boston Globe, but that deal fell through. After that Griffin says he was paid a consulting fee, but that he is owed more based on an agreement that would have made him a director at Freedom Communications.
