Toyota Recalling 369,000 Vehicles

By Les Masterson

Toyota is recalling 369,000 vehicles, including about 235,000 in the United States, because issues with the vehicles may cause them to stop unexpectedly, reported CNN.

One recall includes Highlander Hybrids produced between 2006 and 2010 and Lexus RX400h vehicles manufactured between 2006 and 2008. The issue is the hybrid system can “overheat, triggering a warning that in some cases can result in the vehicle unexpectedly stopping while in operation,” reported CNN.

The other recall is for Lexus IS 350, IS 350C and GS 350 vehicles that were made between 2006 and 2011. The vehicles can stop unexpectedly because bolts in the variable valve timing control device may come loose, according to CNN.

Toyota will notify owners of vehicles that are part of the recall.
