Food Home Delivery Service Starts Up in Town

A new food home delivery service will soon plant roots in Wellesley, according to the Swellesley Report. Locally, a Boston-based start-up, aims to get locally-grown food into the hands of consumers.

Jessica Angell and Dan Smith own the service, which should start next month here in Wellesley, the Swellesley Report said. The company is currently testing in Boston and Cambridge.

The service will work with local food suppliers to provide fruits, vegetables, poultry and more to consumers, the Swellesley Report said. The local food suppliers set the prices. Each time consumers schedule a delivery, they will have to place a minimum order of $30.
