Wellesley Jewelry Store Owner Engaged to Swayze Widow

Wellesley jeweler Albert DePrisco and Patrick Swayze’s widow Lisa Niemi, are now engaged.

Boston Herald reports that the jeweler-to-the-stars Albert DePrisco proposed to Niemi Christmas Eve after a year-and-a-half of dating. The wedding date has not yet been set.

DePrisco, 58, met Niemi through a mutual friend at her 56th birthday party. Niemi was married to Swayze for 34 years before he died of pancreatic cancer in 2009 at 57.

The DePrisco Family opened A.M. DePrisco in Wellesley 30 years ago. Albert DePrisco bought the jewelry store from his family in 1995. The store moved to it’s current location at the intersection of Washington and Grove Streets in 2006. The store specializes in diamonds, especially engagement rings.
