'Burn Notice' Star Jeffrey Donovan to Lead Ask the Producer Q&A

Jeffrey Donovan, television, film and stage actor, along with Steve Maler, founding artistic director of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, will be leading the Babson College community in the question and answer presentation Ask the Producer Tuesday, Nov. 19.

This program will center around Donovan’s career as executive producer of USA’s “Burn Notice,” and provide insight into the entertainment business. Open to the public, the session will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. in Babson’s Carling-Sorenson Theater.

Donovan has had starring roles in films such as "J. Edgar," "Changeling" and "Hitch," but is most credibly noted for being the producer and main star in USA’s hit show, "Burn Notice." This event reinforces Babson’s continuing goal of enhancing the natural synergies between entrepreneurship and the arts.

Babson College’s new theater in residence, CSC is a renowned Boston arts organization dedicated to bringing the works of William Shakespeare in vital and contemporary productions to the public and exploring Shakespeare’s works in educational and community settings. CSC is one of the most highly regarded theater companies in Boston, delivering free Shakespeare to more than 100,000 people annually and serving hundreds of young people in public schools and after-school programs.

During his visit to Babson, Donovan will also help debut CSC’s Theater In The Rough, a script-in-hand ready performance of William Shakespeare’s Richard III directed by CSC’s Steve Maler. Both events aim to kick off the CSC and Babson’s newly announced partnership that will work to infuse new resources to enhance the arts and culture offerings on the Babson campus for its students and the college’s surrounding communities.
